Overview
MYUniMatch helps Malaysian students turn SPM results into a concrete university shortlist. Students upload their result slip, Groq's AI reads the grades, and the app ranks real courses and institutions by match score, and it is free with no credit card needed.
Role
Designed and built the whole product: React and Vite front end, Supabase accounts and data, and the Groq grade-analysis pipeline.
Challenge
Figuring out which university courses an SPM certificate actually qualifies for means hunting through entry requirements at institution after institution. Students wanted one place to see a personalised, ranked shortlist instead.
Solution
- A four-step flow: upload the SPM result slip (drag-and-drop photo or manual entry), let Groq's AI read the grades, match them against real Malaysian university entry requirements, then present courses and universities ranked by match score.
- Signed-in students keep their analysis history in Supabase, so a result slip is uploaded once and revisited anytime. Account data stays private to the student.
- University profiles, career insights (salary ranges and job demand) and an SPM grading guide sit alongside the matcher so students can research without leaving the app.
