Video web application
FootCourse
Footcourse.com, a video-based web application that delivers structured training modules so players can access self-paced programs and scalable skill development.
- React
- Express.js
- MySQL
- NPM
Overview
FootCourse.com is a video-based training platform for football players. Players pick their position and work through fitness, skills and tactics modules at their own pace, and can compare boots before buying.
Role
Developed FootCourse.com end to end: React front end, Express.js API and MySQL storage for users, modules and progress.
Challenge
Players need structured training they can follow alone, not scattered YouTube clips. The program has to adapt to a player's position and scale from a first-timer to a serious athlete.
Solution
- Three pillars organize everything: Train (fitness and skills videos selected by the player's position), Learn (tactical videos on how to play a football role) and Boot (information on selected soccer shoes, compared side by side).
- A React single-page app talks to an Express.js API; MySQL keeps accounts, position choices and progress so players can stop and resume training.
- A Test section checks what players have absorbed, and every module is self-paced: start anywhere, repeat anything.
Features
- Position-based training video modules for fitness and football skills
- Tactical Learn section covering how to play each football role
- Boot comparison tool for selected soccer shoes
- Self-paced progress saved per account via the Express.js API
- Test section to check understanding after training
